Cantera
“Cantera” comes from the Spanish word for “quarry,” so it’s no surprise that cantera stone is a volcanic rock produced exclusively in Mexico and Central America. Arte en Cantera even uses this material in our company name because of its especially amazing color and durability that is still surprisingly easy to carve and cut into even the most intricate of patterns.
Limestone
Limestone is probably the most familiar stone building material, but just because it’s used for many applications (even in concrete) doesn’t mean it’s too ordinary to become a beautiful work of art in the right hands. Some of the most impressive and beautiful architecture in the world is made from limestone, and we would be pleased to bring this natural stone into your next building project.
Travertine
Although it has a different name, travertine is actually a form of limestone, with many of the same properties that make it excellent for cutting, carving, and building architectural elements. Travertine was favored by builders in Rome, Paris, and the United States to create famous monuments. Today, travertine is a good choice for statutes, columns, fountains, and more.
Marble
The word “Marble” originates from the Greek word “marmaros,” meaning “shining stone.” Its lustrous beauty and timeless appeal has been a symbol of elegance and luxury throughout history in iconic sculptures, buildings, and interiors. Arte en Cantera values marble for its sophistication and unparalleled polish. It’s the perfect choice for high-end applications.

Communication was very good which is always a worry when dealing with a company over long distances. Definitely will do business again. Everything was professionally done on CAD and well communicated over email. Even the minor issue with a missing piece we had out of hundreds was corrected and reshipped promptly with no cost.
